Ultimate Tuk

The Ultimate Tuk program has been designed for the Scout that has been to camp many years and is looking for new adventures and challenges. Ultimate Tuk will provide older Scouts an action-packed wilderness program that will challenge them physically and mentally. A Class III Physical Form is required for participation in this event. The cost is $350.00. The entire fee is due by April 18, 2008 or you may be dropped from the roster. No refunds after April 18.   See the bottom of the page for the adult fee information.

Participants will meet with staff members Sunday to make sure they have their needed equipment. Monday morning they will leave Camp Tukabatchee and will return Friday just after supper.

Some of the activities planned for 2008 (but not confirmed 100%) include: experiencing COPE at Camp Tukabatchee
, caving at Tumbling Rock or Limerock, mountain biking, rappelling & climbing, and rafting on the Ocoee River. Participants will  arrive back at Camp Tukabatchee before the campfire on Friday. All activities are subject to change. Please ask if you have specific questions.

Scouts must be 14 years old and be able to swim. Scouts must be physically capable to handle the river and strenuous hiking. No exceptions please. Crews are limited to 12 participants, but we can take more than 1 crew. The minimum crew size is 8 paid participants. Because of this minimum size, we ask that Scouts be flexible on the week they can go. Space permitting, adults are encouraged to attend. We recommend 1 adult leader to go with each crew each week.  As an incentive to get adults to go, we will discount 1 adult fee by $40 for every boy a troop signs up. (e.g.  2 boys @ $350, 1 adult goes for $270;  6 boys @ $350, 1 adult goes for $110)

The following equipment is needed. This is a rough list as of January 2008. We will provide a better and more detailed list to those who sign up.
